Unlike 2021 offerings such as “Faded Azure” and “Wash Orange” the pair took a more aggressive approach, opting for a “Hi-Res Red” colorway. Not everything is completely unfamiliar. For example, the light and dark grey along the toe and the orange and blue contrasting surfaces across the midsole reference the previous look. The same goes for the black suede throughout the silhouette, as it effectively mimics the aforementioned Wave Runner. Elsewhere, the design starts to stand out: Vivid red trim leather with mesh running through the collar and mid-panel; a darker burgundy hue on the laces and center of the forefoot; and clay covering most of the midsole.
